Dear Parents,

On April 17, 2007, voters will have an opportunity to vote on the proposed school district budget and to select the men and women who will set the policies under which the schools in our community will operate.

To be eligible to participate in our annual school election, a citizen must be a registered voter in Allendale.  Citizens not currently registered must do so by next Tuesday, March 27, in order to vote in the April 17th election.

Registration information is available from the Allendale Borough Clerk’s Office (201-818-4400), from the Office of the Superintendent of Elections, One Bergen County Plaza, Room 380, Hackensack, NJ 07601 (201-336-6100), or you may download it from the following website and mail it to the aforementioned Hackensack address:  www.state.nj.us/lps/elections/voter-reg-form-2.8.07.pdf

Voters unable to get to the polls on April 17th may apply for an absentee ballot, which can be obtained from the Allendale Borough Clerk’s Office or from my office. It is also available from the County Clerk’s Office by mailing a request to One Bergen County Plaza, Room 130, Hackensack, NJ 07601 (201-336-7020). An application will be sent to you upon receipt of your written request.  This application must be completed, mailed and received by the County Clerk’s Office, no later than Tuesday, April 10th.   You may also download this form from the following website:  www.state.nj.us/lps/elections/ballot-eng.pdf

In addition, voters have until 3:00pm on April 16th to apply, in person, for an absentee ballot at the Office of the County Clerk.
